Projects

A friend asked me to make a memory quilt for her mom for Mother's day. She wanted it made out of her grandparents old clothes(both have passed away). I was glad to do it but it was a challenge using clothes as opposed to quilting cotton:) She also wanted me to not wash anything because everything still smelled like her grandparents(their detergent/home, not them!) So each night after sewing I went to bed smelling like I was 80:)
For how challenging the fabric was I am happy with how it turned out. The binding is made out of Grandpa's pajama's.
I keep meaning to add this photo of our new fireplace. It had candles with a gate in front of it. Hudson was constantly messing with it and as much as I am okay with having things off limits to little ones this was starting to drive me crazy. And then I saw this great idea on Pinterest. Toby painted the inside of the fireplace with bbq paint so it's heat resistant just in case someone ever lights a fire in there. And now Hudson has a new place for his toys. He loves hanging out in there and it keeps our living room a little less kiddo-toy-krazy.

Week 15

This picture isn't great but I think I see more bump than other people do right now anyways.

Pregnancy Highlights for Week 15
Size: Baby is the size of an apple
Cravings: Cheeseburgers, soda and top ramen, I just can't get enough!
Maternity Clothes: Slowly my regular clothese are becoming less and less comfortable/buttonable
Gender: We won't know until mid-June
Names we are playing with: We have a really hard time with boy names. Toby's idea for the week-Blade:) Mine-Cruz

I am always a little clumsy but today I ran into Hudson's crib and bruised my arm up pretty bad and then slammed the car door into my face....Maybe I will be a little extra clumsy this pregnancy. Hope not.
And what would a post be without Mr. Hudson. He went to his first birthday party tonight. Big milestone in a mama's world:)

Hudson is 17 months old! He weighs 26 pounds, our height is unknown since we gave a good fight at the doc office:)
He is full of personality and obsessed with any form of transportation. He loves to go sit in his and Cooper's pool regardless if he is fully dressed or not. And the kid loves rocks? Once he is in bed and I pick up the house I am amazed how many rocks I collect and return to their home outside:)

Hudson accompanied me to my midwife appointment this week. He got really upset when they took my blood pressure but was fine with the rest of the visit. Bless my midwives they let me have ultrasounds each visit to give me peace and they were so sweet to Hudson. Preggo update coming soon.....I did buy my produce today, I just look waaaayyyy too tired for a decent photo:)

Hudson spent his first night away from home this weekend. We never really feel the need to leave him for the night because he goes to bed on the early side so we have the evenings to hangout., but with baby on the way he will eventually have to stay with someone so I thought we could start practicing. He went with Toby's family. He did great and had tons of fun and ate tons of food:)
It was my birthday last week so Toby took me shopping in Seattle and out to the Cheesecake factory, Yum!
It was so nice to take as much time as we wanted and come home whenever we wanted. It was really great to see Hudson the next morning too:)

Haapy Easter!

We had such a fun Easter! Someone "egged" us so 1st thing Hudson went outside to collect the eggs that someone so generously left in our yard:) (whoever you are, I am sure my neighbors saw you so I will soon know your identity, and Thank You;))
We then hurried to get ready for church. It took a little longer since we had our suit to put on. Look out ladies!
The Easter bunny even brought me a basket! How did he know? I may have hinted.
We just got a small basket for Hudson since he still doesn't get presents. We got some new books(because we read the same ones a million times a day:)) and hot wheel cars.
After naptime we headed to Lilliwaup where Hudson had his own easter egg hunt. We later found all the eggs broken into and everything eaten. I said I thought it was racoons but everyone else new it was really Sophie the dog. And we all celebrated by eating waaayyyy way way way too much candy.

Catching Up

We have all be sick here for almost 2 weeks! Aaaahhh....if we could just get the snot to stop:) But we have still had some funs stuff happening despite the sickness.
Hudson is now 16 months old and just keeps getting more and more fun. He is now down to just 1 nap a day and has switched to getting up at 8am rather than 6am! woot woot! It's nice to be able to do more in the morning too especially with the nice weather starting. I was on the phone with his Grammy the other day and he wanted to play with the phone, so I told him 1 sec I am talking to Grammy, and it was so cute, he went and stood in the window watching for her:) It was sad when I told him she wasn't coming. He loves the outdoors. He is also obsessed with trains, trucks, planes and buses. He gets so excited when he sees or hears any of them. The bus drivers on our road have started waving to Hudson too:)
Every boy needs his dog. Hudson loves to play chase and now Cooper loves to chase Hudson. Hudson will hide under the kitchen table too so Cooper has to bark at him to come out. I can't wait for these two be best buds.
We woke up to sunshine yesterday and decided on a spontaneous trip to the beach. It was beautiful there and everyone had a great time. But oh my, with this cold it was exhausting! We were so worn out when we got home. But iit was definately worth it.
We were so tired, luckily Hudson offered to drive us home!
